NES and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology concluded a partnership agreement


New Economic School had been actively cooperating with The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in the context of scientific and education projects for several years. In August 2019, the parties made an official partnership agreement. Intensive collaboration is planned, and namely, international scientific conferences, summer schools, joint research projects, strengthening of student and professorate exchange, etc. In October 2019, Andrey Markevich, Professor at NES, visited Hong Kong and participated in the seminar of the HKUST Institute for Emerging Market Studies. He presented his paper on A Regional Perspective on the Economic Development of the late Russian Empire. Scientific visits to HKUST of many others NES' professors are planned shortly.

I am certain that signing this agreement would bring our activities to a new level and would unfold excellent educational and research perspectives for our students and professors. Recently, I made a visit to the University and am deeply satisfied with the current dialogue between NES and HKUST", - said Shlomo Weber, NES President and Scientific Director of the Center for the Study of Diversity and Social Interactions. 

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) offers a wide range of education programs in natural, engineering and social sciences, and in business and management. Students are taught on Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. levels. According to different international ratings, HKUST is one of the best universities in Greater China and Asia.
