A Workshop on Law and Political Economy is scheduled on May 14 and 15, 2024. Professor Sultan Mehmood is organizing the event along with Shaoda Wang, Professor at the University of Chicago and Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER).
Keynotes will be delivered by the incoming Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Luigi Zingales, Professor of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, moderated by Professor Sultan Mehmood. He will also moderate a roundtable discussion "Island of Institutional Integrity: Independence of the Judiciary" with Justice Babar Sattar and Professor Tom Ginsburg.
Economists from the University of Chicago, Harvard University, Toulouse School of Economics, McGill University, University College London, BI Norwegian Business School, and the World Bank will participate. Follow the link to learn more about the event.
