Nadia Pozdnyakova to Become a Professor at NES


In September 2025, Nadia Pozdnyakova will join the faculty of the New Economic School.

This May, Nadia is completing her PhD in Economics at New York University. In 2018, she earned her master's degree in International Trade, Finance, and Development from the Barcelona School of Economics. Prior to that, she earned her bachelor's degree in Economics from the Higher School of Economics in Moscow. Before her doctoral studies, she worked as an economist at the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

Nadia’s research interests focus on macroeconomics, international economics, and behavioral macroeconomics. In her current research, she analyzes firm-level exchange rate forecasts, and based on this data develops a behavioral general equilibrium model of a small open economy. Nadia’s teaching interests and experience are in macroeconomics and international economics.
