The Committee for Development Policy (CDP) is a subsidiary advisory body of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). It includes 24 members that are nominated in their personal capacity by the Secretary-General. Once a year members of the Committee come together in order to present the report on the work they have done.
The Committee advices ECOSOC on a wide range of economic and social issues that are relevant for the development and strengthening international cooperation. Additionally, every three years the CDP reviews the least developed country category and recommends which countries should be included to our graduated from the list.
