NES Professor Olga Kuzmina spoke at the CERGE-EI

October 31, a micro research seminar was held at CERGE-EI. NES Professor Olga Kuzmina spoke on the topic “Gender Diversity in Corporate Boards: Evidence from Quota-implied Discontinuities”.

The paper examines the effects of women directors on firm value and operations, using data across European countries that introduced mandatory or voluntary regulation on female representation in corporate boards. The results of the study highlight that promoting gender equality is aligned with shareholder interests.

CERGE-EI (Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education - Economics Institute) is a joint workplace of Charles University and the Economics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
