NES professor Marta Troya Martinez co-organizes the 7th Workshop on Relational Contracts. This year the event will take place on August 20-21 on Zoom.
The workshop provides a forum for researchers to meet, present papers, and discuss recent developments in relational governance, informal relationships and dynamic contracts, which are key to design and manage organizations. It will include presentations by scholars from Brown University, Chicago Law School, Kellogg School of Management, Yale Law School, and other American, European and Asian institutions, followed by discussions of participants.
Marta Troya Martinez will present her joint research with Elena Paltseva (Stockholm Institute of Transition Economics) and NES professor Gerhard Toews “I'll pay you later: Relational Contracts in the Oil Industry”. The full program can be found here.

The Workshop on Relational Contracts has been held annually since 2015 and organized by Daniel Barron (Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management), Matthias Fahn (Johannes Kepler University Linz and CESifo), Marta Troya Martinez (New Economic School and CEPR) and Giorgio Zanarone (Olin Business School and Cunef).
