NES is the leader in terms of investment in the Rating of Entrepreneurial Universities in 2023


The New Economic School ranks first in the Top 10 in terms of investments in the Entrepreneurial Universities 2023 Rating. NES graduates with economic and managerial degrees attracted $1.95 billion of investment in total. The second place in this Rating is taken by the HSE, and the third one went to Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The Rating in the sphere of Economic and Managerial Education represents 18 universities located in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Yekaterinburg this year. Only those universities whose graduates founded at least 13 startups overall were included in the Rating. Traditionally, the ranking comprises universities where  founders of startups received education in the fields of economics, business and management.

NES graduates who became founders of successful startups:

  • Alexander Gerko (MAE’2003), XTX Markets, Founder
  • Olga Kotsur (MAE’2009), Mercaux, Founder

  • Natalia Pereldik (MAE’2006), Funexpected Math, Co-founder and Director
  • Ilya Shirokov (MAE’2004), Joom Group, Co-founder

and many others.
